Why the name ‘DISLABELLED’?

We chose the name DISLABELLED because the principal aim of this initiative is to disable the various pessimistic and limiting labels that have been placed on those with special needs (intellectual and physical challenges)  in the Ghanaian society. We hope to ‘disable the label’ placed on such people by creating a label which focuses on their strengths and society’s need to support them.
